In the new issue of W magazine, Dakota Fanning reveals:
“Because I’m only 17, my mom is staying with me in my apartment for a little bit. She’s teaching me how to wash clothes and such.”
Umm, excuse me, what? Does she mean washing them by hand? Because there’s no reason a 17-year-old, famous or not, should just be learning to wash her own clothes.
Perhaps, if instead of letting her daughter pose with perfume bottles between her legs, her mother had spent some time teaching Dakota these essential life skills, there’d be less teenage bullying. Okay, the two are totally unrelated. But seriously Dakota? Washing clothes involves (a) dropping them off at one of the many NYC laundry establishments that will handle the dirty work for you or (b) throwing them in a machine, twisting the knob and walking away.
