We know death sucks, but maybe there’s a silver lining for the legendary Dick Clark. At least now he doesn’t have to suffer through another New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

We’ll miss you Dick, but we totally get it.

In case you missed Oprah’s exclusive interview with Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, you can get caught up here.

But the most fascinating tidbit I read about the interview? Bobbi Kristina wants to change her name from Bobbi Kristina Brown to Bobbi Kristina Houston. Apparently, the name change will help her distance herself from dad, Bobby Brown.

Now I get that Bobby isn’t the most upstanding guy out there, but isn’t kind of too late to try to disown him? Plus, even if she changes her name, that mouth of hers will always have Bobby Brown written all over it.

Just when you thought you were over Whitney Houston’s death, Oprah comes out of the gate with what’s sure to be a tear-jerking interview with the singer’s daughter, Bobbi Kristini. The Oprah – Bobbi Kristina interview will air on OWN this Sunday at 9 p.m. EST, but here’s a sneak peek:

It’s gonna be good, right? So that gives you exactly 5 days to call your cable company and find out if you even have OWN since I know you haven’t been watching it.

Despite the fact that I’m not really sure what Google Buzz is because I never used it, I was surprisingly sad to see this message pop up when I went check my Gmail earlier today. I feel like there should be something a little more ceremonious than this lame yellow-ish announcement. It was Google Buzz, after all.

So because Google doesn’t seem to care about it’s failed project, I will. A moment of silence for the death of Google Buzz…

From now until January 22, guess what you can see at the Guggenheim? A suicidal squirrel. Really.

The display is part of the Maurizio Cattelan show and yeah, this is art? I thought it was bad when the woman claimed she would give birth in a gallery, but this is maybe even a little weirder because dude, is that squirrel real?? I hate them as much as the next New Yorker, but this is going a bit too far.

RIP, Steve Jobs. You’ve certainly earned it.

In other random news, Arch West, the man credited with creating Doritos, passed away on September 20, 2011. May he rest in peace.

Now here’s where things get weird. His family had him cremated, but also chose to bury the urn bearing his remains. Okay, never heard of burying an urn, but to each his own.

But wait, there’s more. At the funeral service, family members requested that guests toss actual Doritos chips into West’s grave. Really.

Call it a clever way to lighten the mood at a funeral (or to get rid of those stale Doritos sitting on top of the fridge). But we’re wondering: what snack would you want tossed in your grave? Me? Smartfood White Cheddar popcorn all the way!
